Position: Communications Committee Member

Term: April 2025-2026 minimum or April 2025-2028 maximum

Time Commitment: 4-6 hours per month

Qualifications:

  • Designation Preferred
  • Experience in marketing
  • Community minded with experience in Board Governance would be an asset

Job Description in accordance to the Communications Committee.

The Communications Committee:

Purpose and General Objectives

The Communications Committee is a standing committee (to be ratified) of the Board of Directors. It strives to support communications/marketing activities that will impact all CCS programs in a positive light.

Functions

  1. To ensure that marketing policies, procedures and practices are reviewed regularly
  2. To advice on implementation of communications and marketing activities

Membership

Committee members are named by the Board of Directors and consist of Board members, Program Directors, Staff representatives and may include non-board members. The Committee may invite others to participate in advisory roles.

Accountability

The Communications Committee presents a written report at each meeting of the Board of Directors which falls after any meeting or action of the Communications Committee.
