Position: Finance Committee Member
Term: April 2023-2024 minimum or April 2023-2026 maximum
Time Commitment: 4-6 hours per month
Qualifications:
- CPA preferred
- Community minded with experience in Board Governance
Committee functions in accordance to the Finance Committee.
The Finance Committee:
- Oversees the financial affairs of the Corporation
- Review and make recommendations to the Board about the financial affairs and policies of the corporation
- Review the monthly Financial statement with the Program Directors and Accountant
- Provide guidance to the board about cash management, investments, divestitures, financial policies and strategies, and other transactions of financial issues
- Annually review of the financial policies of the corporation identified in the Financial Policy Reference Manual
- Support the audit planning process by reviewing the draft financial statements and reviewing any matters raised by the auditor and follow up on significant audit observations in a timely manner
- Placement and disposition of investments in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Investment policy
- Investment monitoring and report to the Board of Directors
